Pangangan National High School conducted this year’s Joint Induction Rites and Acquaintance Program last July 4, 2025 at the school’s multi-purpose hall. Bearing the theme “PNHSians: New Beginning, Shared Journey, United as One Family”, everyone modeled their “Old Money” outfits which add essence to the event.
The program commenced with the singing of hymns conducted by the SSLG officers namely Eizhel Andrea Querejero, Mary Grace Ringca, and Shenicha Misal. Princess Kyla Leornas then led the opening prayer. All were energized by the opening salvo through a mass dance that was led by the Grade 12 students. Mr. Samie Boy Rebalbusa, the SSLG President, delivered his welcome message for everyone. To give insights of what the event is all about, Mrs. Evangeline L. Balino, the SSLG adviser, delivered the statement of purpose that helped everyone understood the main goal of the event. One of the highlights of the program was the welcoming of the freshmen and transferees as the Grade 12 students sang the “Welcome to the Family” song. Presentations from the different grade levels also entertained the crowd.
Hon. Jeanie Veraño inducted the officers of the different clubs and organizations during the Induction Rites. She also gave her inspirational message to everyone and shared her experiences during her high school days as a student leader. Mr. Arturo P. Gonzaga, the school principal, also inspired the entire PNHS family in his message.
Another highlight of the celebration was the Search for the Mr. and Ms. Dress to Impress. The said competition was joined by the chosen pairs from the different year levels. Edjay L. Estimo, a Grade 12 student, was hailed as the Mr. Dress to Impress 2025 while Ms. Jersey Vasay, a Grade 10 student, was crowned as the Ms. Dress to Impress 2025.
As her parting words, Nica Kristyana Viktoria S. Maneclang, the SSLG Vice-President, said her words of thanks. The party continued as the Young Prodigy Band brought positive vibes in the air as the second part of the celebration. After having their full of meal and snacks, everyone joined the fun and danced with the beats and music. Indeed, Acquaintance is not just a simple celebration; it’s another way to strengthen the family. “A mere acquaintance may become a friend in a moment, if both feel a spark of sympathy and understanding.” as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe says.
